Hi everyone,
I have a new back-to-wall toilet pan (not fitted yet) and after looking at it carefully I realised that the flush pipe inlet would be left half full of water after flushing because the rim of the pan is too high up to drain the inlet completely. That doesn't seem a good idea to me because the rubber bung around the flush pipe is going to be constantly half under water -- sooner or later it'll leak.
Then I noticed what looks like a little drain running from the inlet towards the soil pipe: see pics. Only problem is, it never gets there -- it's a dead end -- there is no drain hole.
Is this meant to be an inlet drain? Have I got a faulty pan? Or, am I barking up the wrong tree?
