Hi you thermodynamic folks!
A bit of a newbie to this Forum and although having lots of marine electric and thermo experience I am in need of a little assistance here!
We have lived in our '50's bungalow for five years now. The plumbing was a mess and I need to seek your advice later on modernising it. However, the most pressing point and the one I want to ask advice about frst is the Lifestyle LP 722 boiler timer and the CED CAT IMT7E time switch for the immersion heater.
Both these items are relatively new BUT we are prone to power black-outs in the country and although the CED time switch says it has a rechargeable back-up battery, I still have to reprogramme it each blackout. Same for the LP 722 although i have no instructions for this so don't know if it has a back-up battery or not.
Can anyone tell me if the back-up batteries have a finite lifespan and, if so, how do I change them/wher do i get them from?
(The LP 722 'froze' the other day during a power spike during a black-out but your excellent forum saved the missus from cold feet! She says Thanks Guys!)
