Hi there
I previously posted a problem with cold bath flow poor. I read somewhere on here that back flushing (i.e connect cold washing machie tap to hot washing machine tap) could sort it. Is that right? can someone explain clearly please?

Thanks a lot

Connecting cold and hot pipe systems can blow out airlocks in the hot water pipework only if the cold is at mains pressure. This would not solve your problem as it seems to be in the cold low pressure pipework fed from a tank in the loft?

You might be able to connect the mains from the kitchen sink (or outside tap) to the bathroom tap using a garden hose if you can make secure connections to both taps. In that case open bath tap then kitchen tap and let water flow for a couple of minutes. This may cause your header tank to overflow.

Problem may be due to type of tap in bath. Some imported ones are designed for mains pressure and don't perform well at lower head from loft tank. Is the problem recent? What sort of flow is there in the hot bath tap?
