Spent four hours in a loft [3ft high] sorting a leaking tank, renewed faulty ballcock, renewed leaking overflow, secured leaning tank [water had turned the CHIPWOOD platform to mush, why do they do that?] secured two overflows which were under water in tanks. Just about to climb out when put my hand down on one of the tank outlets [plastic] it snapped but managed to stick my thumb in it and turn off supply.Spent 1/2 hour driving round three plumbers merchant to find one that stocked the plastic joint I needed. Slipped with hacksaw and put a nice groove on my thumb.
Can't get any worse I thought, it can, hit a speed hump on the way home and cracked the sump, limped home with no oil.
Suppose I will put the car on ebay for spares.
