Hi, I am updating the plumbing of my 60's bungalow with new boiler & santon cylinder.
There is the option of taking the cold water feed after the mains fed integrated CWCV giving balanced hot/cold water.
Are there any drawbacks doing this as I remember reading somewhere that you should not do this for drinking water.
Any advise appreciated.

I cant think of any disadvantages of having balanced pressure hot and cold supplies.
Your cold water will be fine to drink from any of your cold taps as the water comes directly from the water mains.
