Last week we had a carpet laid in our lounge. One week on and a banding effect still hasnt dissapeared, it kind of looks like a lawn when it is mown up and down if you get my drift. Before I call the fellow who supplied and laid it back ( a mobile carpet dealer ), I wanted to be armed with a little knowledge.

It is a felt backed carpet, that was laid onto the existing underlay and gripper. The existing underlay was bit flat, but ok, and the floorboards lay in the other direction to the banding effect.

Any advice?? Cheers in advanced!!
