Banging pipes .

Hi, this one is probably quite easy to you pro plumbers. The system is sealed with several rads and a Grant oil boiler which is working fine. The problem is when the boiler reaches temp. and switches off there is a banging noise in the pipes under the bedroom floor.I'm sure this never used to be the case so what's causing the noise ? The system is only three years old and the expansion vessel is new. Any ideas please ?
 
Can you lift the boards above the noisy area :?: :idea:
 
opposite, actually..and lack of little pieces of felt to ease movement of pipes :roll: If you looked under floor in one of my jobs, the felt pads would be on every joist notch..... :wink:
