Hello.
I am in need of help. I moved into a new house about a year ago ang there was a banging in the roof. I have bled the radiators and tried to empty the system with the water turned off.

In recent weeks the banging is unbearable. It is short bursts of rapid bangs and I think it is the pipes in the roof space.

Any ideas? I am willing to try anything at this point.

Thank

Pete

Without being there, it's difficult to say, however, from your description, it sounds like water hammer.

you may solve the problem by getting up there and making sure all the pipes are correctly clipped so that they can't move about so easily.

As above, poss ball valve in loft tank. What do you do that makes the noise happen?
