hi all
hopefully someone can help,
we recently had new thermostatic radiator valves fitted on all our rads and a new thermostatic cylinder valve fitted at the cylinder.. all works well when the boiler is turned on until about 20 minutes later when a banging noise starts that comes from the thermostatic cylinder valve when its heating the cylinder. if i move the head it stops... is there something i can do that would be a more permanent fix as im tired running upstairs
thanks

Are the pipes connected to it correctly? If the flow through it is in the wrong direction it may cause this?

Hi 1983 yes the pipes are connected correctly as the tcv is installed on the top pipe going into the cylinder as recommended on the tcv instructions ..
Hi agile I don't think there is an auto by pass valve.. Is this a small valve with a red wheel on it ??
Thanks you
