Bargain?

Best of luck - possibly faulty, and getting on for £150 by the time you've had them calibrated....

you probably won't be able to fix the RCD tester. There are often some cheap bargains around that are out of calibration that are useful for learning on as long as you aren't doing notifiable or professional work.

I leave an old RCD tester at my old mum's house for checking the bathroom circuit and the garden socket from time to time, and an EFLI tester and a DMM, this is not a "requirement" so no need to be calibrated (I have compared them to an up to date set so I am quite happy thery still work OK). Their value is very low.

Recently on eBay i bought a Robin EFLI tester and a robin earth resistance tester with test leads for the grand sum of 0.99P ! Had to collect from Stockpot but i didnt mind at the price.

A week later i bought a Roblin RCD tester with no leads for £10 plus £8p&p Its in almost brand new condition and was last calibrated in 2006

The readings fair ok when compared to my calibrated Fluke MFT
Currently saving up for a Megger 1730MFT and the Powersuite software
