Base coat

Just a quick one took back a bit of plaster and under coat to original brick in the kitchen (fletins I think not softs) about 1.5sqm the bonding coat is render can I use a render mix like outside work 2 coats etc and then a plaster topcoat or is there a secret mix?and what proportions if so.

I should ad this was the original exterior wall until extension built and it hasn't blown through damp just me being a bit enthusiastic with a sledge on the other side of it
