Yes, go for quality even though you'll have to pay more.
In a new house I noticed the builders had fitted very cheap looking isolation taps. The first time I tried to use one of these to replace a tap cartridge the lever shaft broke off and a jet of mains pressure water shot out. The only way I could stop it was to put my finger over it. But I was alone in the house and in the upstairs bathroom, and the main water stopcock was of course downstairs. So I had to release the water and race downstairs to turn off the water. By the time I'd achieved this the bathroom had several inches of water on the floor.
That was my cue to replace all the shoddy builder isolation valves with quality new ones which never gave any further trouble.
OK, if it's all mains then just normal, good quality, ISO's. Just remember that they need to be pointing out to the side so the slot is accessible when the pedestal's on.
