The crazy thing is the builders fitted the sinks then fitted the wrong size outlets. There should not be any need to fit adaptors in that scenario. At a cost of £34m for the building you expect things to be correct when fitted.
We discovered an SVP, that carries rain water from the roof and waste waste water from the science labs, was leaking somewhere between the top floor and ground floor. After 4-5 visits from the plumbers, who checked and replaced each inspection cover in the SVP, it was 'accidently' discovered that one of the sections had been 'dry assembled' and not plastic welded. That incident involved large repairs to 2 suspended ceilings and 4 large light fittings plus replacement of the vinyl flooring on the ground floor and about 40 carpet tiles in two classrooms.
