Hi,

The bath/shower selector pull up knob on my taps has become very awkward to operate. I suspect its scaled up.
It's these taps from argos:

Is there a way to get in and descale?

If you pull up the knob, does the shaft have flats on that will allow you to turn it with a spanner?

no, unfortunately not.
The knob spindle is round and threaded.
The body has flats, but it looks like turning this would completely remove the knobs housing.

In that case I'd remove the knobs housing.

Quite. Usually a thin 19mm spaner required, and all is revealed.
