I am planning to turn an old bath into a pond. Obviously I need to block the plug hole with sealant but which one ?

It is a rubber plug in a metal hole

Simple question but I doubt I can use any old aquatic sealant so which is best/cheap or is there a better alternative to sealing the plug in ?

No fish, just plants and whatever turns up.

Thanks

Or you could connect standard waste pipe fittings to the plug hole with an end cap sovnet welded to the pipe;

or instead of capping the end of the pipe bring the end up above the intended water level. This could then be used with a wet and dry vacuum cleaner to drain and rinse out the debris that will accumulate in the pond.

I knew someone with a bath pond once.
Ducklings can get in but not out. Also hedgehogs. It was not fun.
Make sure you have a good ramp that they can use to escape.

Don't use the bath as a pond, if you want a pond then buy a plastic mould or rubber pond lining.

I was recommended ct1 as its suitable for constant immersion. A pinhole leak will mot matter at all so don't stress about it too much.
