It’s a long bathroom, with a bath along one wall, and next to it is a space where we have removed the hot water tank and airing cupboard. This space is 1360mm long, so we want to install a 1200 x 900 shower in that space. The back wall and the end wall are lath-&-plaster.

We had thought to have the shower flush up against the end of the bath – but what construction would you suggest? i.e. how do we close the space under the end of the bath? It would not be very attractive to see it through the glass shower end panel if we use that.

We wondered about a WBP ply panel tiled to match, and using a bath screen as the end panel, mounted on top of the end of the bath – but that probably wouldn’t fix to the shower enclosure... What do you suggest? This must be quite a common situation?

This is not a duplicate posting. I have several different challenges for which I would appreciate advice.
