I need to replace the cold water bath tap valve (standard screw down type) but its stuck. The bath is plastic. When I turn the valve the Tap body turns with it. Any ideas without damaging the tap or bath?

Get some old rag/towel on bottom of bath tap for protection and use a stillson or pipe wrench to hold it steady while undoing the valve nut.Don't forget to tighten the bath tap nut underneath the bath.

It's clear that the tap has to be held firm while the nut is unscrewed
You may have to damage the tap to hold it firm.
The nut is usually quite thin and wrench easily slips off, use a box spanner if you can(after disconnecting pipe)
WD 40 or penitrating oil or plus gas may help but give it time to soak in
