ive come across this today and im not sure wether it totally breaks the regs??? whoever fitted the bath has capped the original waste off because there is no proper run off to drain the bath quick enough and so run a length of pipe to the toilet waste and connected there??? oohh err

When you say toilet waste do you mean soil stack? If so there is nothing wrong with this as long as a 75mm seal trap is fitted and the connection is made in an appropriate position.

thanks mike,that was quick,
there is a run of about 1m which is elbowed from the back of the toilet and then another 90 elbow to take the toilet waste into the main stack.the bath waste pipe is connected into the first run from the toilet,
kind regards.
