Hi - i bought a "push 'n lift" bath waste from B&Q. I have a re-covered bath and it's prone to chipping from the current conventional brass plug... and the new waste was on special offer!

Anyway, when i look closely, the current overflow hose fixes to a spigot in the current waste pipe just below the bath. But the new waste has no such spigot - it couldn't have as it needs to be pushed through the waste hole and secured below by the large plastic nut.

As you've already guessed, i'm not a plumber, but i was wondering if there is any way i can use this item or whether it's just not possible with a conventional bath overflow.

Any helpful comments much appreciated. Thanks

if your waste hasnt got overflow spigot & you want to use it you will have to get a bath trap with the overflow facility
other possibility is swap it for one that has goy overflow spigot

Hi there,

Are you sure that is a bath waste, looks a lot like a basin waste to me.
