I’ve removed a shower tray & have installed a bath. I’ve got the trap ready to go on but how do I go about connecting pipework up to this? Obviously I will unscrew that old shower waste off.

Cut the waste pipe and use x2 1.5” 45 degree solvent weld elbows, cleaner and solvent weld, and some pipe too.

Remove the trap and flexible waste pipe ,from the rigid waste pipe. Then extend from the rigid pipe using elbows and more rigid pipe into your new trap.

Am I solvent welding to the rigid pipe? Also is it ok to put the elbow at a slight raised angle facing up so the incoming pipe from the middle of the tub can’t go straight on? (If that makes sense to you)

I can't make out for sure from your pics if it's solvent weld pipe,I think it is though. Don't understand your question about " slight raised angle" etc.

So looking at the pic from the rigid pipe at the top I put an elbow then a pipe attached to that then another elbow at the bottom. That elbow at the bottom can I have it facing a little up (so towards the bath base) as I need to add a waste pipe on the other side coming down into it. Hope that makes sense.

As long as there is a continuous fall
( Downward slope) from bath trap to the existing rigid pipe it should be fine.

How exactly is this going together? Such as the x2 45 degree elbows where exactly are they going? Can you please explain it a little more on what’s going where?

Hard to explain in words, so I’ve edited your photo in white to give an idea. Just take the 2nd wastepipe out of the 45 to the bath trap.
