I am fitting a new bath and have found that the existing waste pipe (grey in colour) is 43mm outside diameter and the new waste pipe is 41mm outside diameter (white)- is there an adaptor of some sorts that will allow the new waste pipe to connect to the old (and where i can get one) or is there a trade trick that someone could let me know about rather than replacing the whole pipe all the way to the outside drain away pipe ?

any help/advice gratefully received.

You can buy plastic compression fittings that will adapt from 41mm to 43mmm. Widely available and cheap.
