bathroom ceiling

what pb do i use on bathroom ceiling thats allready done in lathe & plaster
do i just tape the joints & fill or is it best to tape & skim

A recomendation in the link is for Duplex foil back boards but I don't think that would be necessary. 12.5mm moiture resistant board would be ideal but you could use ordinary wall board. Tape the joints & get it fully skimmed, tape & fill will look total cack & leave the board fully exposed to steam & moisture.
