A bathroom extractor fan that is powered from a switched fuse spur. Has a live/perment live and switched live feed too it. Why does it not require an earth? Because its double insulated? The earth is just terminated in the fan, but to no terminals, there is no terminal for it. Thanks.

Well, a Permanent Live and/or a Switched Live plus a Neutral depending on whether it has a timer and how you want to operate it.

Probably, but it's all plastic - nothing to earth.
