please can anybody help, i bought a new pull chain for my light as my old one has broke, when i took it off it all fell apart!! i thaught i has put it back togetrher ok but my light and fan (their connected) wont come on!!!! so am not shore if its the way ii've wired it up or if its the way ive put the switch back together please can anybody help!!!!

All the switch does is connect the two wires together or seperates them. With the power off, connect the two together using a terminal block and them put the power on. The light and fan shound work. Turn the power off and seperate them put the power back on and they should be off. This will imply that the wiring is OK and the switch is at fault.
