This is my last plee for help before giving up on an answer.
Plan to remove toilet tomorrow and see what happens, can you suggest or link me to a product that's probably going to fit onto the waste pipe? Do I need some form of collar like what's on it this now to make it sealed?

theres plenty of pan connectors to do the job, but as said before need to know the internal diameter of the waste.
