The bathroom tap (mixer) was getting harder and harder to move, so I applied some WD40. The result of this is, that I can now hardly move it at all. Has anyone ever come across this? What can I do next?

Thanks for advice. The problem is, I don't know how to dismantle a mixer tap (you know, one with one lever rather than 2)....

There are too many different ones for a general answer, but look for a tiny hole you can just get an allen (hex) key into. That will typically get the metal arm off to reveal something you attack with a spanner.

I've broken some with brute force when all else has failed, and discovered that they were never designed to come apart.
