Bathroom taps keep breaking!

Hi, am new on here, hoping pl for answer
to a tap mystery. Bin in this victorian
house for five yrs. We have got through the
taps that were here when we bought the
house, then v cheap taps and now armitage
shanks taps. Whether on the bath or basin,
hot or cold, they all go same way, start
being stiff, only letting a bit of water through
then refusing to be turned on or even
like tonite refusing to be turned off!
When taps are removed there is usually crumbling
damage inside the mechanism. Does
anyone know please why this is happening??! It
is driving us nuts!!

When a tap gets stiff it should be dismantled and silicone greased!

What does the word "bin" mean in your posting?
