Hi guys. A friend has bought a cheap acrylic bathtub which came with a plastic panel to hide the pipework. The panel did not come with any hinges. How am I meant to fit it? Thanks again for your time.

My bath has an MDF panel which is not fixed at all but is a snug fit between the inside top edge of the bath and the floor. To fit it I simply hook the top edge under the rim of the bath then push the bottom edge inwards to meet the wooden framework. The plastic panel might not be stiff enough for that but you could stiffen it by glueing lengths of timber to its inside face or you could build a wooden framework and screw the panel to the frame with mirror screws or other hidden head type screws.
