Does anyone have any info on the reliability and performance of this boiler?

its based on the original combi 105e just with a secondary heat exchanger which is why its only sedbuk band B very reliable boilers but i personally would spend a little extra and go for potterton promax combi 28 kw which is sedbuk band A :?:

Gaz.. Is the additional heat exchanger the only difference, Does it still use same board ,divertor and fan etc. Fit a lot of 105e`s and have found them to be an extremely reliable boiler with an excellent performance. And if the HE is basically the same i will carry on fitting them

Gaz, Is the Promax brand new,???? the Potterton website does not list it

Sorry ignore the above I am looking at combis

promax has been around few years as a heat only boiler but promax combi is very new last month or so :?: very good boiler though

BAXI are giving the HE 105 free to some firms who havent fitted these yet. Its a scam to try & get them on board. My firm has fitted many of these boilers. We aint getting a "FREE" boiler because we've been good boys & been fitting these for ages. Wheres the incentive in this?Although we have not encountered any problems (yet) I do feel that the B rated is ok for a competetively priced combi. Personally I will only be fitting Worcesters untill my "FREE" boiler arrives.

I beg to differ!

We are on the bonus direct scheme.

We have received a free glossy brochure and CD for the Promax but NO SIGN OF ANY FREE BOILER TO TEST OUT !!!

In the meantime we will have to carry on installing Vaillant and Viesmann!

Perhaps Bill Roe your Spare Parts Director has forgotten me? His wife apparently calls him "Big Chief Spare part" !
