One easy thing to do...
Turn the power off.
Take the front of the receiver off.
Take the wires out of terminals A and B.
Splice them together.
Turn the power on.
Does the boiler fire?
If yes - guffed receiver.
If no - guffed boiler PCB.
Power off and put it all back as it was and replace accordingly.
Turn the power off.
Take the front of the receiver off.

Its surprising how many people fiddle with thermostats/programmers until they realize the knob on the front of the boiler is turned down
I love those call outs.
Especially when they have been waiting 2 weeks for the appointment

Dan i appear to have no wires in terminal A of the receiver. I have a blue and brown in the live and neutral, a black in B and gray in C.
Oh dear.
Looks like an electrician has been at it.
Put the grey into A and see what happens.
