hi love before you try circuit board try the diverter valve it might be stuck shut dont listen to people who allways tell you to change circuit boards you have to elimnate things first make sure your getting right resistance to diverter valve trust me that will be your problem
Hi there, luckily for me on one part my dad is a qualified electrician , and bless him he had already spent a day pulling all the boiler to bits and checking all the diverter valves, pins, voltages everything was as it should be electrically contacting - powers in and out etc, freely moving.
Have fitted the new board as you already know from my other posts, have re-set everything there is to re-set and at last we are no longer coldtofreezing - more like warm-to-toasty
It must have been the board on this occasion, the man in the boiler shop did say that i should turn the heating on even if its just once a week throughout the summer as mine had been off for 7 months just on DHW, he said that the transistor things can go dry? if no power running through them? something like that anyway!
Thankyou to all of you helping me, really appreciate it, and its just great to be warm again especially with this windy&wet weather at the moment.
Thanks again!
A new pcb , took out the safety thermostat , checked it and put it back in, left the boiler off for a few minutes and then pressed and held re-set button for 10 seconds and it then just came to life, touch wood it has been fine on hot water and heating and havent had any flashing neons come on, and havent needed to re-set again so i am hoping fingers crossed it is all sorted.
