Hi I have a BAXI Bermuda 552 Boiler and the hot water heats up fine although the noise through the pipes is a bit loud - the radiators however do not get warm - I have bled all the radiators also and found in the airing cupboard that the lever on the Motorized Valve is very loose and doesn't make any difference when slid from left to right? - Could this be the problem and a new valve is the answer?

Many thanks

Make of valve would help. A lot of the later valves can have parts replaced, ie the power head. 2 port or 3 port?

Actually after a good listen it would appear that the "noise" is now coming from the pump which is a Grunfos no idea of serial though?

Sounds highly likely.

You can turn off the lecky and remove the top head of the motorised part and see if the link between the motor and the valve is broken. It's usually possible to replace the motor/actuator part without removing the valve (wet) part if you can find a compatible actuator head.

It's Landis & Gyr.

Nice one thanks for that - Got a guy coming in Saturday who on the phone also said it might not cost too much to replace !

Thanks again

The motorized valve is suppose to be slack, when there is call for heat. Its when theres no power to it that you'll feel resistance on the lever, and you can set it manually to be fully open.
