Have you tied a magnet in the area mentioned? Also is there an airvent on the cylinder perhaps air lock there.

Magnet is to check for build up for sludge at joins and junctions on the pipework. It will stick if there is a build up. The vent you are talking about is not a bleed point you need to find it on the pipework that feeds the cylinder coil
