baxi central heating boiler

Thanks for all your comments - we seem to have created some controversy about system boilers.

So, to clarify, the overflow pipe is one that runs to the outside of the house. I guess that means we'll need it servicing to attend to the valve?

Its NOT an over flow pipe! Its a safety discharge to reduce the pressure if it gets too high.

The "discussion" about system/conventional/sealed boilers is because they are all very similar and the makers have ( mostly ) adopted a new term "system boiler" which becomes confusing because all boilers are fitten on "systems". You dont need to know about all that though!

I think you will need professional help. You could amuse yourself by asking if they know what a system boiler is!

Is it a condensing boiler?
Would it be a white plastic pipe by any chance?
