Hi,

Had no hot water due to warning light

Fault on Hot water sensor

A friend has narrowed it down to Central Heating Temperature Sensor

Did a bit of fault diagnosis

Un plugged this sensor put power back on and "Fault on Hot water sensor " disapeared however "Fault on Central Heating sensor" came on

Could someone explain why this would happen, why would the central heating sensor affect the hot water?

And by changing the central heating sensor would this cure the problem?

Thanks

Because the designation of "central heating sensor" is incorrect and it's actually the "primary flow temperature sensor" and is used in both heating and hot water modes.

I rarely trust fault diagnostics lights..they're often wrong. Test the DHW thermistor with a multimeter to confirm the problem.

I was thinking that the plugs had been swapped over.

However, the only to find faults is with measurements.
