Thanks

Dead simple. Turn off the water into the boiler and open the nearest hot tap to make safe. Part number 5111137 around £15 ish will have both bits you need to fix it. Change it as soon as possible before the microswictch gets damaged.

Thanks Beer lover, what do i need to change ? just the round outer plate behind that microswitch? and was it called?

It is just the gland that is leaking, undoes with a spanner. Fit only that bit if you want, but I always change the internal diaphragm at the same time - only an additional nut and six screws.

BTW turn off the power to the boiler before starting the repair.

Dead, dead easy, I promise

The P/no I gave you is the 'flow switch diaphragm service kit' The gland on the dhw flow switch is leaking

Brilliant thanks guys, just need to have power /boiler off and open hot tap to drain boiler?

Right got the spares today, now how do i discharge pressure in boiler?

why would you want to do that ?

your doing the hw side not the heating diaphragm.
just shut the mains stopcock and open the hot tap as said.
and cover the pcb with a cloth.

Just turn the power off and turn off all 3!!!

If your this bad with the water supply i feel a 10 page posting coming

Can anyone tell me where the o-ring goes and what way round also? I have taken the diaphragm casing apart carefully but have found no sign of one being there.

Many thanks

Ian
