can anyone help with my problem my combi is losing pressre daily,i had a plumber tell me it was a prv and the expansion vessel,so i paid him 232 pound to fix it buut i have the same problem and its driving me mad,any answers would b really appreciated .

If you have had your P.R.V replaced and your Wessel,it is possible that your secondary heat x may be leaking, that is if there are no leaks any where else on the system :(

Baxmax im very tired ,but wouldnt the system gain pressure if plate heat exchanger has gone and not loose it?
Surely it must be a leak?

He's not talking about the plate heat exchanger!

If your tired go to bed.

Thanks Baxpoti,is it worth trying to explain anything further,i despair

Secondary heat exchanger ?

If this is split/holed you will loose water through it,not always apparent with the boiler off,and unfortunatly when the boiler is running it can be confused with condensate.

pressurise system to about 3bar,with boiler off see if any water passes into condensate trap.

Or pressurise boiler to about 3bar and isolate at boiler flow and return, leave for 24 hours,if no drop boiler o.k....

Extracted from an earliar post.....

thank you for your advise, much appreciated,i have just noticed a radiator seems to leak a little seems to be when the heating is off ,would this be my problem, and also one more question if the expansion vessel needed replacing would there have been a noticeable leak.all this seems to have happened when i had a radiator pt back on after deorating.
