I have intermittent firing, sometimes the boiler will fire up and run for some time before we get the fan/flue error light flashing, (the fan is running and the flue trip switch hasn't tripped). Turning the boiler off and leaving it for an hour or so will normally reset it and it will work for a while again.
I 've already had a BG engineer out to look at it and of course it behaved and fired up so he left and said it was working !.

Any help will be appreciated
thanks

If you paid for the BG visit call them back! Or call someone who knows what they are doing like Baxi.

Intermittent faults can of course be absobloominlutely anything, but the Air Pressure switch is prone to do it. A Corgi job to fix.

Air pressure switch and heat affecting the shape of the venturi within fan housin are favorites.

Thanks for the useful suggestions, it a least gives me an idea where to point someone to look first
