baxi combi boiler 80 e

Hi I wonder if anybody could give me advice. I have a combi boiler which is about 7 years old, and recently the boiler isn't firing up when I turn the hot water tap on. The boiler works fine when on the timer, but I find myself having to turn the boiler on manually to get hot water. I'm basically looking for advice before I call an engineer out. Many thanks

The best advice I can give is to ask for this thread to be moved to the Plumbing section and not in the kitchen appliance section.

I would be suspecting diaphragm, assuming flow rate from taps is ok
