Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone can give me some advice on a problem I have with my boiler. I have a Baxi Combi instant 80 He,the central heating is working fine but the water only works if I use the pre heat setting, If I turn the pre heat setting off and open the hot water tap the boiler doesn't fire and the gas burner indicator doesn't light. Any advice gratefully received, thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply, how difficult is this job is it something I could undertake myself or would I have to call an engineer.I've worked on the buildings for 30 years as a carpenter, but I've tried my hand at most things,
