baxi combi boiler 80 e

Hi I wonder if somebody could help with a slight problem. My boiler which is 7 years old has recently stopped firing when I turn the hot water tap on. The boiler has to be turned on manually to obtain hot water. Any ideas before I call out an engineer?

What do you mean manually , If no hot water it will be the diaphragm gone simple ten min job
