When using my central heating everything is fine until i turn on the hot water. The heating goes off as it should and the water runs hot but when i have finished using the hot water the boiler doesn't switch back to the heating, the light on the front of the boiler for the hot water stays lit, the flame light goes out as it should, the only way i can get the heating back on is to power the electric to the boiler down leave off for a few seconds then power back up. Does anybody know what the problem is ?? Thanks

diverter valve assembly requres changing, part 248727and 248728 ,not a nice job,and could be expensive,while your at, it the expansion vessel will need recharging or fit an external one, get some pump seals ready and watch other fittings and components for leaks,
Probably only the microswitch sticking. If you drop down the front panel the diverted is on the left side. There will be a pin that come out the front and hits a switch when you run a tap. Check this pin retracts when the tap is shut off. If it does and the tap symbol stays on then the switch is sticking. If the pin stays out the diverter is sticking. Seeing as it rights itself when u turn off I'd imagine it's the former.
Not D.I.Y. stuff. Get someone who knows there way around a Baxi. Pos just micro-switch but usually more sinister. These boilers do not drain down like normal b oilers so would not advise you do yourself as you could be confronted with litres of very hot water. Plus expansion vessel needs to be checked regular in the correct manner.
