Ok thanks and I'll do the route that Ian has said. Hopefully one last question. I noticed in the other topic that it shows 5 wires going into the hive. I can account for four that are on my current towerstat. What's the score with the green/yellow or will that be a case of having a loop wire on the hive?

The green/yellow wire is an earth connection, there is a terminal on the Hive backplate for it, but it is unused by the Hive itself.
Without getting into arguments about what the 'regs' actually allow, if you are using a standard flex with a green/yellow earth wire, it would be 'best practice' to connect it up.
