I have an 18 mth old Baxi combi, just serviced, but when you call for hot water it cycles hot then cold. Burners yellow light comes on for about 20s the goes off for 20s etc. The water has been getting progressively cooler over the past few weeks, but put it down to the cold weather. Any Ideas?

Sounds like a flu problem or choked venturi. Does the burner do the same when just the heating on? If so you need a gas safe engineer
Hi thanks for the reply but the CH is OK and DHW cycles both when the CH is on or off.
If no fault codes appear, I would want to take the plate HE off and check the system is clean.
Sounds typical of a blocked plate, due to lack of flushing during the installation.
Other than that you have a 5 year warranty, but this will not cover a dirty install.

Turns out to be scale in the gas valve blocking the filter!
had the meter changed anout 9 mths ago & guess this dislodged a load of bits which have built up over time. Hot water at last cheers all
