I have a Potterton Profile 80e and the burner keeps blowing out straight after ignition...the flame is really high with the bottom centimetre of it blue and the rest of the flame (about 4 inches) red.. and within about 3 seconds of it lighting it goes straight out.
I am living in France and due to this Baxi potterton will not advise me as i am not a corgi registered plumber and as my fully qualified plumber is french they will not advise him either and he does not know what is causing this problem. PLEASE can you help and advise what would be the cause of this as i currently have no heating and it is getting cold. Thanks

Hi dave,
Thanks for replying, yes it is on LPG, it was converted to LPG from natural gas as i bought it over from uk but fitted a conversion kit to it.
Any help u can give will be very appreciated.
Thanks

It sounds as though there is too much gas pressure to the burner. The working pressure should be 37mBar at the regulator and the burner pressure adjusted to whatever the LPG conversion kit instructions say.

There is more to it than just fitting the LPG injectors etc.

Was all the above done and checked after it was converted?

Thanks for that Dave, I wasn't here when the boiler was converted but i will check with the plumber 2mrw and tell him about the correct pressure and if i need to is it ok to get back to you if i need some more advice... your help has been much appreciated, thanks for taking the time to answer me.
