Potterton Profile 60e clicking wildly then cutting out

Hi All,

My Potterton Profile 60e seems to ignite fine when heat is called for, then randomly it will start clicking wildly (like the igniter is firing) and then the flame will cut out.

Any ideas what this may be? Is it something I could try and fix myself?

Can't suggest a lot unless you can isolate the problem.
 
Well, I took the lower cover off (with the main off) and check all the connections were tight and it now seems ok for now.

I guess I had a loose connection, of a short that was solved by wiggling!

I'll arrange a full service ASAP.
