Baxi/Potterton Instant models

I am asking about the models which use the expansion vessel as a mini heat store.

The MI say that to replace the ex-vessel its necessary to take the boiler off the wall? If there is space above then is it possible to replace it in situ?

How long would you suggest allowing to complete the job?

if you have about two foot you can do it without taking the boiler off

if you have to it usually takes me about an hour and a bit
