Baxi Powered Solo Flue Boiler Failing To Work

I have recently purchased a flat that has a Baxi Powered Solo Flue Boiler and an Elson 600C water heater. I think it is a open vented system as there is a small water tank over the boiler.

The water heater seems to work fine but unfortunately the boiler turns off (i.e. the flames and pilot light go out) after 5 or so minutes. If I try to reset the boiler immediately it doesn't work but if I leave it for 5 or so minutes then I can relight the pilot light but then the same thing happens again i.e. the boiler stays on and works for only a few minutes.

Has anyone got any ideas of what might be wrong or what I can do to identify the problem and fix it. Much appreciate it.

Thanks,
Aaron

Sounds like it is overheating, hence why you cannot reset it straight away.

Check the pump and any valves you have are opening properly for starters.

Thanks gas4you. How do I check that the pump and valves are opening properly?

Search FAQ's.

All is revealed in there:cool:

(and I'm too lazy to type it all out again   )
