Hi all,
First post here go easy, I’ve had a look around and there’s similar faults on this forum but nothing matching 100%
Moved into a new house served by a Baxi Combi Duo-Tec 40.
Heating is over 2 zones upstairs and downstairs
We have a problem with what sounds to be the pump running intermittently whenever it wants to.
No demand from the CH both stats off or set low and no demand for HW
Boiler is it situ in the loft and I appreciate there’s been a few cold nights recently but it’s been this way for almost 2 months now, there doesnt seem to be any pattern to it. It just seems to work away sometimes for a short period and others quite long.
If I run a hot tap until hot and close it that seems to stop it for a short amount of time
It’s worth noting when in this state the burner light isn’t lit on the display it’s just pumping away.
Any ideas where to start? Initially I was thinking maybe a thermistor giving false readings so the frost protect was activating or a diverter valve fault firing the boiler but lack of burner light im thinking is it just the PCB at fault?
Appreciate you taking the time to read this and apologies for long post
Nathan
