Google the gas valve e-bay have your type for £102 that plus fitting £80 is cheaper than a new boiler, and yours will still last longer than a condensing boiler.
To hazeX5 that was not hawking, I have traveled to Basingstoke today to fix a boiler prob. what is wrong with offering to have a look? with so many crappy engineers out there does it really hurt to offer physical help once in a while. also if it was objectionable the moderators would stop it.
